NIMBY/YIMBY (03/07/99)
NIMBY (Not in my backyard) and YIMBY (Yes in my backyard) effects are influenced
by the presence of certain buildings. These effects determine the aura in that
region. This measurement represents real life neighbourhoods where the areas
with high land values are those that have a good view, are protected from
crime, have little pollution, and so on. The slum areas are those that are at
congested streets, near landfills and utility stuctures and the such. See below
for a handy chart showing the local effects of certain structures and their
radius of aura influence. View it, and print it out for reference.

Remember NIMBY effects are negative and YIMBY effects are positive
to calculating local aura.
